Human Resources Administrator/Recruiter
Provide leadership and management in all the areas of the #1 paper machine and process. This position leads the efforts to safely and efficiently produce a quality base sheet for use in LWC. Assist with the effort to develop new grades for the mill complex. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented, detailed in approach, work well with people at all levels in the organization, and exhibit skills and abilities to be promotable to other management positions in the company after building background and experience.
Essential Functions:
Lead safety efforts and actively develops a safety culture toward zero incidents.
Coach work group to adapt to new ways of performing work to include understanding of legal ramifications of our policies, government regulations, safety standards, and consistently adhering to and administering policy and procedures.
Manage costs by tracking costs using monthly reports.
Provide input into projected plans.
Conduct cost analysis.
Use cost factors to effectively make sound decisions as well as identifying gaps.
Facilitate the setting of objectives and strategies along with daily tactical planning, budgeting, maintenance and workforce requirements.
Develop performance measures for work groups and clarifies inputs and outputs that will be monitored for continuous improvements.
Schedule work for the daily activities of the work groups to maximize available resources.
Supervise exempt employees on achieving daily performance requirements.
Administer policy and procedure within legal guidelines.
Education / Required
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Paper Science with application in the paper industry.
o 2
years experience running and managing a paper machine.
o 5
years experience in a paper mill.
o Coated Groundwood, Uncoated Free Sheet, or Linerboard experience.
o Experience with Off Machine Coaters is preferred.
o Demonstrate the ability to learn and understand systems such as PPR, SAP, PI, Proficy, etc.
This is a union facility- recently signed a 3yr contract with the union

- Produces 650k tons of paperboard
- 200k tons of magazine paper
- 450k tons of bleached paperboard
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
