a search firm specializing in the lighting industry. We have positions at all levels with Architectural, commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Solid State Lighting fixture, lamp, and ballast manufacturers.
Our client is a fast paced innovative global lighting systems manufacturer. Due to product expansion they are seeking an experienced design engineer with 3 to 7 years of work experience to assume the role of:
Sr. Design Engineer - Mentor, Ohio or Houston, Texas location
USA Based Candidates only
REQUIREMENTS
Understanding of the lighting industry standards associated with drawings specifications
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and UL requirements
Hands on approach to work and analytical skills
Strong project management skills and capability to drive multiple projects
Must have engineering experience in electronic design, engineering management and value engineering.
Multi-tasking is necessary
Bachelor Degree in Engineer or related field is required.
Extensive use and experience in Pro-Engineer or other Solid Modeling is a pre-requisite (1500 hours minimum)
Computer proficiency a must
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
New Product development and manufacturing
Analysis New Products including feature enhancements and cost reductions
Development, maintenance and enforcement of engineering standards and design concepts
Modification and changes effecting new products
Provide leadership and technical development of design staff
Assistance of Engineers with design, calculations and specifications of assigned products
Project scheduling
Compensation will include attractive and competitive base, stock options, and benefits.
