Position Overview
The Electronic Communications Gateway (ECG) File Control IT Systems Analyst is an individual with a strong analytical and technical background.
This position supports the corporate enterprise file transfer environment by provisioning mailboxes for new file transmissions, completing maintenance requests to existing setups, working internal to internal requests for CFT?s, responding to customer emails and inquiries and backing up the support team as necessary and required including but not limited to participating in rotating 24/7 on-call support as needed for coverage and remediating incident and problem management tickets.
Essential Job Functions
? IBM System i Administrations & Support
? Maintaining and monitoring the IBM System i Servers
? Monitoring the Website portals.
? Creating, modifying or disabling CL Programs from a SURG request.
? Creating and Modifying IBM System i user profiles from SATS request.
? Monitor & resolve HPSM Help Desk Tickets for IBM System i Services & Support
? Process the INN and ONN check run and distribute the reports.
? Generate and print reports for users.
? Manage Wintel Backup tapes
? Provide After Hour & Weekend Support
? Provide IBM System I Printer & Communication Support
? Performing file transfers or verifying the completion of automated file transfers.
? Maintaining tracking records related to files being transferred or processed.
? Building & maintaining automation for file handling & file transfers.
? Creating & maintaining documentation describing the automation & procedures used within
the business group
? Evaluating new requests to process inbound or outbound files.
? Troubleshooting & correcting problems with existing automation & procedures for which the
business is responsible
? Timely processing of work intake requests, (ITG, HPSM)
? Coordinating testing with internal and external customers
? Troubleshooting issues to assist in root cause analysis.
? Working with internal application support teams to remediate issues during setup creation
? Responding to customer emails and calls.
? Mentor team mates
? Backup Team member partners for vacation days.
Non-essential Job Functions
? Preparing reports or messages relaying information based on requests from personnel
outside the Business group.
? Understanding of file transmission protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS, others)
? Understanding of data encryption
? Experience working on a UNIX platform with proficient use of UNIX commands
? Understanding of network concepts
? Ability to understand UNIX shell scripts
? Ability to troubleshoot Windows desktop environment
? Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
? Plus ? Experience working with Axway?s Synchrony Product Suite
Assets
? Basic programming knowledge (primarily in VB, and VBA)
? Extended experience using the ?AutoMate? & ?TWS? applications.
? Knowledge of FTP scripting & automating FTP processes.
? Basic knowledge of SQL, especially in conjunction with VBA modules & ?AutoMate?, used to
create various reports for people throughout the company.
? Ability to think analytically & solve problems based on little (or even misleading) given
information
? Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
? Understanding of network concepts
? Ability to troubleshoot Windows desktop environment
? Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
? Ability to read, follow, and execute instructions
? Ability to effectively work on a team and with other groups
? Ability to work in a fast paced metrics driven environment
? Providing rotating 24/7 on-call support, as required for backfill
