Our client, a leading manufacturer of tubing assemblies located in South Bend, is looking to add a Production/Capacity Planner to their team. This position is responsible for analyzing capacity and production data; and planning and preparing production schedules.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Analyzes production specifications, customer requirements and plant capacity data; performs calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tool, and labor requirements; ensuring work centers are correct.
Plans and prepares production schedules, prepares the master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation.
Analyzes production forecast to identify constraints/bottlenecks a minimum of four months prior to delivery needs.
Reads/interprets blueprints and confers with Engineering and Quality Assurance to determine production specifications.
Reviews sales quotes, pre-production shop order data and customer blueprints to determine correct product structure and routing for production.
Releases job orders; builds routing into materials properly.
Ability to read blue prints and understand manufacturing equipment required.
