Sr. Project Manager

This role is for a Sr. Project Manager to oversee a singular project within the Workspace enterprise optimization group. This project will specifically deliver on transferring all data and networks from Netware to Windows File Share. This PM will need to provide strong leadership to both technical and business individuals, manage a budget in excess of $10M, and provide over all structure and leadership to the team. The manager is ideally not looking for a technical PM; the ideal person for this role will be one that is able to oversee and drive projects to completion as well as manage risk and action solution items as necessary.
Key accountabilities are:
Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
Direct large-scale projects involving significant scope and complexity. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules.
Performs risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and / or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support.
The successful candidate will be required to work with and influence senior level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
10
years experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager (preference will be given to candidates with more recent experience)
PMP Certification
Demonstrated project completion and timeline success
Strong leadership skills and ability to drive projects
Ability to manage risk on a high level
MS Project
Ability to present and communicate at an executive level.
Ability to collaborate with team members to drive project results.
Please note, while this is a 6 month assignment, this entire project engagement is slated to be 18 months. There is a strong possibility of extension, pending performance and project timelines are being executed as expected. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
