KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Serve as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues, understanding the needs of the business, and acting both as an employee champion and change agent. Execute the Human Resources systems and initiatives in order to best support the A.J. Oster business strategy.

Core Accountabilities

Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.
Establish credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective problem solver of complex employee relation's issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
Analyze short and long-term staffing needs, set priorities and develop systems and plans to meet those needs.
Develop progressive and proactive incentive programs, and reward and recognition programs for effective alignment of performance to Company objectives.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. In particular, utilize the human resource information systems database and develop reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the corporation as tools for business management.






Develop a performance management system to support management's ability to accurately assess and provide timely feedback to employees. Integrate program across business units as feasible.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Serve as Ethics Officer and EEO Coordinator for the organization; develop methods to ensure that the workplace remains free from harassment and discrimination. Manage Affirmative Action plans and communication with line managers.
Evaluate training and development needs for the organization and develop training resources including individual executive coaching.
Maintain knowledge of state, federal and international HR policies, programs, laws and issues. Understand the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinate the integration of all such programs. Partner with legal department or outside council when appropriate.
Direct and coordinate Recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt personnel to successfully integrate new hires into the culture of the company.
Provide resources to HR Site Support personnel so that they are able to provide remote support and a local resource for straightforward HR issues or questions and the understanding of when to forward issues to the HR department for resolution.

Competencies and Qualifications

4 yr degree, MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Prefer some manufacturing/operations experience.
SPHR certification highly desirable.
GPHR certification a plus.
Very strong communication skills

EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree a desired plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
