Physical Security Supervisor/Facility Security Officer

Responsibilities
The function administers the terms of the contract provisions that specify the contractor's obligations to protect, control and account for Company, Government, and Customer classified and unclassified material in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, company policies and other contractual requirements. Supervises and coordinates activities of the Government and Physical security staff located at multiple locations. Prepares, maintains and implements security processes. Prepares and conducts training on processes.
Position
Responsibilities:
Government Security
-Responsible for the administration, control, records, and management of all Government classified material assigned to the Program.
-Review contract planning and requirements to determine security needs and advise management of planning actions.
-Investigate loss or compromise of classified material, submitting written reports as required.
-Control materials, such as adequate protection, accountability (as required), destruction, inspection, and disposition, following required Government procedures.
-Familiarization with Closed Area requirements as dictated by a contract.
-Familiarization with COMSEC requirements.
-Familiar with approved Automated Information Systems requirements.
-Skilled on the use of the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS/JCAVS) and e-QIP.
-Processes foreign contact/foreign travel forms.
-Maintains clearance files.
Physical Security
-Directly supervise internal/external security staff. Supervision will include individuals in 24/7 shifts.
-Ensure security employees have and create a safe work environment.
-Provide assistance in terminations, particularly those with the potential for physical or business threatening consequences.
-Coordinate investigations and submit written reports appropriately.
-Review and communicate incident reports.
-Define and conduct security training for security staff, employees and contractors/visitors.
-Maintains and operates Access Control/Alarm, Camera, photo ID, and key control systems.
-Establishes security patrols as required.
Management Support
-Meets with management as needed.
-Conducts inspections and audits as defined by company and Government/Customer requirements.
-Assists Government related inspections as required.
-Interacts with other company groups as required.
This position requires travel between our SIS facilities.
20% of time spent traveling (exceeding requirement above)
Qualifications
Education Required:
Bachelors Degree, with a minimum of 3 years directly related experience.
-Government contracts experience.
-Government training requirements - FSO Certified.
-Able to obtain Personnel Security Clearance.
-Knowledge of physical security industry standards to include emergency plans and workplace violence.
-Knowledge of NISPOM.
-Strong working knowledge of JPAS/JCAVS and e-QIP.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret security requirements, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Strong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to train effectively.
