Looking for an Embedded Software Engineer for long term contract in Dearborn MI!!!

This
position
involves the design and implementation of engine and/or transmission control software subsystems or features and associated diagnostic systems per Client Software Standards. Primary responsibilities include: 1. Capture requirements for engine and/or transmission functions and subsystems by working with global subsystem teams from hardware, calibration and external organizations 2. Design memory and chronometric optimized control system/strategy/software to meet requirements using appropriate modeling techniques including subsystem interfaces and models 3. Perform robustness analysis of systems and incorporate findings into control system design or subsystem interfaces 4. Use Client development environment to create engine control software 5. Document all changes using Client process and tools 6. Create and execute the validation plan using simulation, hardware-in-the-loop and vehicle resources 7. Release feature software to programs or subsystems 8. Manage interfaces within global subsystem features and external subsystem interfaces 9. Develop a plan for subsystem versions based on feature and program complexity 10. Build, link, validate each planned subsystem version, based on the feature versions that are planned in subsystem planner
Skills Required:
1. Working knowledge of product development system engineering principles 2. Working knowledge of basic combustion engine and/or automatic transmission operating principles 3. Understanding basic principles of controls engineering 4. Advanced software engineering and coding skills 5. Working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and testing techniques 6. Proactive attitude, leadership and interpersonal skills, work planning and data analysis skills
Skills Preferred:
1. Familiarity with software integration and debug 2. Practical ability to test, debug, and validate software in vehicle and dyno settings
Experience Required:
1. 1
years developing powertrain control systems 2. Experience developing embedded control algorithms
Experience Preferred:
1. Expertise in use of calibration development tools 2. Experience performing vehicle, dyno & software debugging
Education Required:
BSEE, BSME and/or BS-Computer Science/Engineering
Education Preferred:
MSEE, MSME and/or MS-Computer Science/Engineering
