Quality assurance (QA) analyst
position
pertains to the planned and systematic activities implemented in a quality system so that quality requirements for a product or service will be fulfilled. It is the systematic measurement, comparison with a standard, monitoring of processes and an associated feedback loop that confers error prevention.

Responsibilities:
This person is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The analyst does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.
There are several variations of the Quality Assurance Analyst roles.
Quality Assurance Analyst - SQL Backend Testing
Functional Tester
Automated Tester
The Quality Assurance Analyst - Backend Testing role is focused on testing the database portion of the software solution; how the database interacts with the software solution.The Automated Tester designs automated test scripts and deploy these scripts using automation software like Quick Test Professional, Rational Functional Tester, Skill Test and Visual Studio Test Professional. Because test automation is not effective for all kinds of tests, the automated tester must make determinations as to what portion of the overall test will benefit from automation.
Skills/Qualification Required:
Quality Assurance Analyst Should Possess excellent listening, oral and interpersonal skills to interact with programmers and application users or stakeholders
Should Possess excellent technical writing skills to document QA results and recommendations
Should Possess an analytical mind and an eye for detail that can help troubleshoot problematic programs and executable codes
A Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, Information Technologies

Science or related course in computers and management sciences is essential.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
