Overview:
Position is responsible for directing all aspects of sales, inventory and operations planning within designated business segments, including policy, demand and supply planning, inventory management, capacity and capital planning.
Essential Job Functions:
Policy Development
Owner of policies and procedures for all areas of OIP. Execute core policies / procedures / process / metrics and expand to meet specific business needs.
Sales & Operations Planning
Responsible for ensuring that the Sales & Operations Planning process is operating effectively within the designated business segment. Owner of the S&OP process for that business.
Identify issues, roadblocks, constraints, etc. that prevent S&OP from being effectively executed. Seek and implement resolutions.
Seek and Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including processes, tools, and methodologies. Ensure any and all necessary resources are deployed.
Demand management
Develop demand management process that effectively supports/meets the requirements of OIP and the business.
Appropriate models and tools are implemented to meet the needs of the OIP process
Ensure that demand assumptions are being collected, monitored, and managed.
Demand reviews conducted, and demand plan is validated.
Process in place for managing abnormal demand.
Process in place for monitoring and adjusting forecast consumption
Communications with supply regarding changes to the demand plan within the established time fence.
Inventory Management
Direct any and all aspects of inventory management within the business segment
Management and Administration
Perform any and all managerial and supervisory duties
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business administration/ supply chain/ engineering / finance.
5-10 years operations and / or logistics experience
Strong
computer
skills - for example, Microsoft Office Suite, Demand Solutions (or other appropriate demand forecasting software application), SAP experience, Access training is a plus
Knowledge of business structure, manufacturing facilities and products
Financial acumen - financial analysis experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
