Provides overall quality assurance by assisting in the development and application of dimensional and visual inspection, testing, and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) to verify that parts, products, tools and equipment meet established specification and standards. Ensures that parts and finished products are produced within the engineering specifications and characteristics. Acts as a resource for specific knowledge with in an assigned area. Assists in the development of processes and quality programs related to the quality of parts and products including New Product Introduction (NPI) and specially assigned projects. Works directly with design and manufacturing engineering to improve the quality of parts and products through product characterization.
?Associates degree or 2 years technical training or 5 years experience in any of the following areas: machine shop, mechanical assembly, optical measuring systems and components, and product inspection and testing.
?Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
?1 -3 years experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Metrology Quality System required for assigned areas; set-up experience preferred.
?Good written and verbal communication skills required.
?User knowledge of Microsoft
software products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) required. Previous experience with software applications for effective testing, analysis, ERP/MRP, SPC and/or test report generation required.
?ASQ Technician or
training a plus
?Understands and reads blueprints.
? Understands tolerancing and the use of hand gages
?Experience with Programming Smart Scope Dimensional Measurement System a Plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
