This
position
partners with Customer Development, CD Finance, Controllers Group, and Customer & Financial
services
to develop and implement business processes to monitor and report the financial impact of sales activity including volume, net sales value, trade spend, net in pocket, sales contribution, balance sheet considerations and reporting. Significant focus on process improvement and developing insights from trends. . The position requires business partnering with various levels of management in Finance and CD and due to the high visibility of results, a strong attention to detail is a core requirement.

Duties and
Responsibilities:
Turnover Reporting and Analysis
1. Perform on-going business analysis including variance analysis of contra-revenue accounts (trade marketing investment, unsaleables, customer reserves). Lead analysis and recommendations for adjustments to contra-revenue accounts to ensure proper recognition of monthly activity (MCO). Support other MCO entries as needed.
2. Lead the analysis, recommendation, and implementation of changes to trade reserve process as a result of Go to Market change programs
3. Develop and implement key analysis tools (i.e. mix analysis) to understand drivers of variances to forecast and prior year.
4. Preparation of key month end close reports (MCO).

Balance Sheet Reporting and Analysis
5. Perform on-going business analysis including variance analysis of Trade Marketing Investment accounts; Debtors accounts; balance sheet assessment of all trade accounts; identifying and communicating TMI opportunities and risks to key stakeholders
6. Monthly review and validation of Customer Operations Balance Sheet account reconciliations (MCO). Identification and resolution of issues.
7. Prepare monthly divest business trade roll forward. Provide analysis and recommendations of balance adequacy. (MCO)

Global Reporting
9. Develop, monitor, and maintain the integrity of monthly customer Global Reporting submission.
10. Lead the identification, analysis, and resolution of differences between Sales Reporting system (Merlin) and Global reporting submissions. (MCO)

Other key activities
11. Participate in process improvement initiatives impacting turnover reporting, ensuring proper SCOA and Sarbox treatment. Lead identification and resolution of issues.
12. Prepare submissions for bi-annual internal audit (PwC) including resolution of any questions.

Challenges:
1. This position is frequently faced with tight timelines with high visibility around results. A strong orientation towards attention to detail is a must.
2. This position has key customers at Sr. Levels (VP CD Operations, VP Customer Marketing, VP CD Finance, Sr.
manager
CD Finance)
3. The information used by this position requires use of multiple systems and understanding subtle differences (BI, Merlin, SAP, etc.) and the ability to communicate the drivers of the differences.
4. Position requires good understanding of accounting and excellent communication skills.
5. Position requires the ability to work independently with little direction.

Key Requirements:
Education - BA or equivalent with studies in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
Experience - 2-4 years finance and/or accounting preferred.

Skills:
1. Ability to work independently with little direction.
2. Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to senior leaders of the business, utilizing presentation materials (financial charts, graphs, etc.) when appropriate.
3. Good accounting skills. Understanding of balance sheet, J/E's, rollforwards.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Strong system skills (Business Intelligence, Merlin, SAP). Ability to efficiently and accurately assess information from multiple systems.
6. Excellent communication skills
