Overview
This Data Architect will join the Data Science Department as part of an R&D effort responsible for designing and implementing processes and layouts for complex, large-scale data sets used for modelling, data mining, research, and the discovery of new products and studies. In addition to new discoveries, this position will play an integral role in the design and development of our Big Data platform.
Responsibilities
Design and build our big data infrastructure for warehousing and reporting analytics
Maintain and keep track or performance measures for the data science infrastructure
Develop the necessary queries to extract data required for research studies
Requirements
Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL data architecture such as Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Mongo, Hadoop, etc.
Experience with a scripting language like Python, PHP, Clojure, etc.
Experience with distributed systems
Ability to creatively transform business objectives into actionable items
Experience with Linux and MS Server
Education
Graduate Degree in Data Science, Mathematics,
computer
Science, or related quantitative field, or a Bachelors plus at least 2 years of related experience
