The Aflac Sales
representative
position involves business to business sales and the management of benefit enrollments with our business owners/customers, and developing/maintaining account activity. This would include group and individual meetings. Sales Management and advancement opportunities are available, and are not determined by length of employment. Aflac offers products such as Cancer Insurance, Short Term Disability, Accident Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance, among many more. We sell to individuals, but market our products towards business owners to offer these products as benefits packages to their employees.
The Aflac Sales Associate will:
- Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and
services
, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.
- Calculate premiums and establish payment method.
- Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change beneficiaries.
- Maintain existing policyholders accounts
- Confer with clients to obtain and provide information when claims are made on a policy.
- Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.
- Develop marketing strategies to compete with other companies who sell insurance.
- Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms.
- Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans.
- Explain necessary bookkeeping requirements for customer to implement and provide group insurance program.
- Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage.
- Monitor insurance claims to ensure they are settled equitably for both the client and the insurer.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals.
- Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.
- Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf Aflac, including life, accident, and health insurance.
We are looking for professional, career-minded, self-motivated individuals for the Sales Associate position to work in a professional, business-to-business sales environment. Extensive management opportunities are available. Prior sales experience is welcome, but not necessary because of our Fortune 200 training program. The majority of our Sales Associates come from backgrounds other than sales. For example, Healthcare Professionals, Teachers, Financial Planners, Personal Bankers, and many other industries have produced top performers for us across the country. The position is full-time, but the schedule is flexible and negotiable. Our training program lasts about 9-13 weeks, and is personalized on the job training. You work side by side with an assigned trainer in the field until you are comfortable with performing the job duties individually. We also offer interactive classroom-style training once a week.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
