Title: Employment Associate
Hours: Part-time (20 hours. week)
Wage: $10 per hour
Reports to: Employment Coordinator
Purpose: To teach and facilitate vocational training for refugees.
Job Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Prepare and teach weekly refugee Job Readiness Class.
Update Job Readiness Class curriculum as necessary.
Facilitate and coordinate current training programs for refugees.
Develop new training programs, through partnerships with
volunteers
and other service agencies.
Provide on-the-job training for employed refugees as needed.
Act as a backup to existing Employment
services
Staff
Initiate and complete all required reports and documents in a timely manner.
Represent World Relief to area employers as a desirable source of workers. Act as liaison between employer and client to ensure good employer relationships.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to speak publicly
Ability to deal with complex and diverse individual, family, and cultural situations
Organizational skills with attention to detail and timing; able to delegate
Able to work independently
Goal and team oriented
Reliable passenger car, vehicle liability insurance coverage, and valid driver's license
Ability to log activities, complete reports, and compose case notes
Successful results of pre-employment background review and drug-screen, if required
Preferred:
Prior multicultural experience
Background in teaching and/or education
Familiarity with Boise area, including industries, employers, and available services.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
