Wage Status: Hourly - Non-Exempt
General Duties:
Oversee Operation of 3rd Shift CNC Department
Specific Duties/
Responsibilities:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/job orders for such information as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be machined.
Verify conformance of sample parts to specifications, using preset gauges, micrometers and dial indicators. Use Statistical Process Control techniques.
Adjust machine controls and settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
Instruct and assist other workers as necessary.
Monitor machine efficiencies
Troubleshoot machine center failures
Employee scheduling
Ensure preparedness of employee task
Administer policies and procedures
Administer employee disciplinary action
Overtime required when needed. This may include Saturdays and/or Sundays.
Such other machining and operating duties as requested.
Physical Requirements:
Hand-eye coordinationand finger dexterity to perform machinist functions.
Walking, standing and ability for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a noisy environment.
Will have contact with Coolant/Solvents.
Some Coolant/Solvent misting will be present.
Instruct and assist other workers as necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
