POSITION DESCRIPTION - 1st Shift
DISCIPLINE: QC Sort Inspectionof Machined Parts.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: All completed machined parts from the manufacturing floor.

REPORTS TO: Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Manager
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Responsible for fulfilling the role of MSP QC SortInspector; this is a hands-on position. Responsible for following sort Instructions issued from QC Engineer to ensure the quality of the parts produced meet customer expectations and drawing specifications specified on instructions.
This includes visual sorting for defects and the use of variable and attribute gaging of parts 100%.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and
Responsibilities:
Inspection of production parts:
Follow Sort Instructions and Gage Work Instructions to inspect all listed characteristics to specifications, using gaging methods specified on instructions.
Provide quality support to production by sorting suspect parts 100% and properly separating good from bad parts and properly identifying them.
Complete required paperwork that tracks sort data.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal ? Regularly interact with Quality and Production personnel.
External ? None.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Technical
Qualifications:
High School Diploma.
Blue Print reading and understanding helpful, but not a requirement.
Experience with attribute and variable gaging.
One to Two years of experience in the quality control field. Preferably would be familiar with the use of hand held variable and attribute gages.
