Our client is seeking an Application Developer with experience in PERL, CGI, Python, PHP for a one year contract in Cambridge, MA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Web Developer/Software Engineer and can work individually or as part of a team. He or she should also have excellent communication skills, experience with content management systems, and the ability to gather requirements and build applications to meet them.

Duties
This position is responsible for the support of all backend development and maintenance efforts for our client's Intranet sites and all other Marketing group web-based projects. Responsibilities include developing customized applications, writing form processing scripts, and updating and customizing content management system templates.
Responsibilities
Meet with internal customers to determine project requirements then build applications using the most appropriate technologies.
Develop applications and dashboards that help Marketing and Sales groups work more efficiently. This may sometimes include managing outside vendors that are involved with the project.
Support Marketing group on various web-based projects including, but not limited to, data visualizations, applications that interact with Salesforce API, site redesigns, form processing scripts.
Collaborate with other developers in the group on larger projects that require developers with different areas of expertise.
Maintain and improve customized content management system for internal websites. This includes, but is not limited to, scripts for publishing content to production servers and templates that allow content owners to easily maintain their content.
Assist with content updates on internal web sites as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years working in a Web Developer/Software Engineer position.
Strong working knowledge of Perl/CGI/Python/PHP including web
services
APIs.
Substantial experience with at least three of the following: MySQL, XML, JSON, AJAX, SOAP, Rsync, shell scripting, JQuery.
Ability to code HTML, JavaScript and CSS by hand.
Comfortable working from a UNIX command line.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
Willingness to learn new programming techniques and skills.
Ability to handle multiple high priority projects at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
Experience interacting with large data sets (RRD system familiarity a plus).
Experience with REST API frameworks is a plus.
Experience with Django Web Framework is a plus.
Experience with Node.js and/or WebSocket is a plus.
Familiarity with content management systems (Plone/Zope is a plus).
Willingness to learn new technologies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
