Function and Scope
Plan and schedule electrical maintenance weekly work and shutdowns.
Duties may include equipment data collection and entry, and document
processing requiring in-depth analysis, independent judgment, and a
comprehensive knowledge of company and/or department procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and estimate work orders, order non-store stock material,
verify store stock material for all work orders and generate purchase
requisitions.
Estimate, plan, and schedule routine and annual outages.
Develop and maintain a 6-week backlog on maintenance activities.
Work with maintenance and vendors for best material for the
application and best material pricing.
Enter changes into equipment database as they occur.
Work with maintenance supervisor and area coordinator compile
weekly schedules for maintenance
Work with maintenance supervisor and area coordinator to compile
shutdown schedules and track work to improve planning and scheduling.
Assure that regulatory inspection work orders are on weekly
schedules as they are due and that appropriate paperwork is turned in
with work orders written to cover deficiencies.
Use continual improvement work processes.
Assist in utilizing CMMS to best advantage.
Compile reports as required
Assure work requests are properly filled out for most efficient
execution and for equipment history.

Scope and estimate the job.
Plan the work. Determine materials availability.
Complete the work plan.
Schedule the work.
Work order follow-up.
Will fill in as supervisor as needed and run maintenance and
contractor crews as necessary.
Participate in call duty rotation
Other duties as assigned
Supervision and Leadership Exercised
Responsible for assisting area supervisor in supervising maintenance
area contract personnel as required.
Reporting and Accountability Relationships
Reports directly to the maintenance area superintendents.
Decision Making Authority
This position has authority to schedule maintenance resources as
required to meet the mill needs.
Business Contacts
Business contacts for this position include all maintenance employees,
Purchasing Department, Accounting Department, Engineering Department,
Production Departments, various sales representatives, and contractors.
Qualifications
A. Education and Experience
Technical degree and minimum of 5 years experience. Equivalent years of
related maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of technical
degree.
B. Knowledge/Competencies
Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling, financials, key
maintenance indicators,
computer
software (spreadsheet, database,
scheduling), and pulp and paper.
C. Work Environment
Field/Office-- Extended hours required during outages.
