Our Southfield client is looking for an individual with three or more (3+) years working experience as a patent prosecution legal assistant (preferably in a law firm setting).
Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of patent regulations and rules and the patent prosecution process both nationally and internationally. Extensive experience and competency in patent prosecution procedures, including docketing, document preparation and electronic filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally candidates must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and solid analytical skills. Must be self-motivated, be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, USPTO.gov(PAIR, EFS-Web and EPAS), Adobe Acrobat and the Internet searching.
