SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Senior Tax Accountant Personal Financial
services
is responsible for providing administrative, accounting and bookkeeping support to the corporate office as well as the Company?s executives. This
position
will serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on a wide array of tax matters faced by the Company?s executives. This position would be expected to liaise with the Company?s legal counsel and accountants as well as the personal legal and accounting representatives for the Company?s executives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to the following matters:
To perform all directed duties in the best interests of the Company and its
executive
officers and to protect the Company in all matters according to the various policies and guidelines adopted by the Company
Board of Directors Matters
Manages the Director Compensation plans including voucher preparation, payment processing, Form 1099?s, compensation records, expense reimbursements and departmental budget.
Shareholder Matters
Reviews and approves upload of all long term compensation grants as prepared by the Company?s benefits department.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Provides full administrative support to the Company?s Treasurer, including banking transactions, backup for out of office occasions, consulting regarding Treasury processes. Signatory on all bank accounts and bank documents.
Provides first review of officer and marketing
employee
expense account reimbursement requests for compliance with the company policy and provides recommendations to the employee?s
supervisor
for further processing of such requests.
Responsible for the accounting and filing requirements of the Political Action Committee. Acts as assistant treasurer relating to the Political Action Committee.
Final review authority for executive and marketing expense reports. Ensures compliance with the Company Expense Report Policy.
Member of the Company?s 401(k) Investment Committee.
Provides support to the administration of the .
Provides support to the CEO and other executives, as directed, on special projects.
Prepare and file Federal and State taxes
Maintains business license filings
Calculate and submit required taxes
Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits
Assist with responses to taxing authority notices
Prepares and/or reviews complex federal and state income, estate tax returns, including the analysis of compiled data. Computes current and cumulative tax adjustments and completes required forms and schedules.
Performs special projects and analyzes tax returns to recommend tax planning ideas.
Researches, analyzes, interprets, and applies federal and state tax laws, and regulations, and court or other regulatory agencies' rulings or decisions to meet compliance requirements and makes recommendations to the Company?s executives.
Seeks resolution of tax and estate planning issues by conferring with legal and accounting advisors.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting or equivalent industry experience, with an emphasis in personal tax filings and bookkeeping.
Strong understanding of income and estate tax laws as well as tax planning concepts.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation as well as advanced degree in tax, law, accounting or finance is preferred.
Proficient technical skills with Form 1040 for high net worth individuals and other compulsory tax form production and compliance.
Experience identifying and addressing internal customer needs and actively participates in discussions and meetings.
Considerable knowledge of consulting with high net worth individuals on some of the following areas; financial planning, wealth transfer planning, business succession planning or trust and estate work.
Skills:
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Working knowledge of Lawson or equivalent accounting application and CCH or equivalent tax application is preferred.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects with follow-through and timely completion on all such projects.
Ability to work as directed with limited direct supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Must be able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.
Certification:
Certified Public Accountant preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
