Responsible for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant. Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits of general practices and procedures, but where supervision is available to handle unusual situations. Occasionally may assign work to small group of employees.
Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture
Proposes and evaluates the processes for equipment in assigned area
Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area
Provides technical support for specific plant operations
Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities
Qualifications
Basic Required:
Proficient with application of programmable machine controls hardware and software
Proficient with application of Servo drive hardware and software
Highly proficient with AutoCad
Proficient with basic electrical standards
Proficient with basic safety standards
High level of creativity in design projects
Ability to use and interpret analytical techniques to verify or select alternate design approaches
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required
Above average oral and written communication skills required
Knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes required
College degree with a major in
engineering
Must be willing to work any shift.
Must be willing to work daily and weekend overtime when needed.
Basic Preferred:
Knowledge of
computer
software as it pertains to manufacturing
Previous Assembly Plant experience
Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
