Description
STG International is seeking qualified candidates for Compensation/Payroll Assistant to work FT supporting the US Marshals service in Arlington, VA

Work involves analyzing, interpreting, developing, and/or implementing laws, regulations, policies, and/or guidance involving subject matter areas within compensation administration, including foreign country assignment and
attendant
overseas entitlements.
Work involves coordination with HR Specialists and assistants or program/policy representatives to ensure the proper payment of individuals in routine and complex cases.
Further, work involves the identification and processing of personnel/payroll issues and providing staff training. Work also involves all activities in support of this function including processing of personnel actions using an automated payroll system such as NFC.
Required Skills
Knowledge of and skill in applying and processing basic pay, premium pay, allowances and differentials, and interpreting leave administration laws and regulations sufficient to:
Provide advice and assistance to managers and employees on basic pay, foreign and non-foreign area allowances and differentials, overtime or leave entitlement questions or problems.
Interpret and apply pay rules and regulations to analyze
employee
and payroll information to identify and resolve pay-setting errors or discrepancies; and analyze pay and leave laws and regulations to assist managers and employees.
Required Experience
Candidate must have at least three years of Federal Compensation and Payroll experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
