Overview:
The IT Project
manager
accountable for driving effective day-to-day project execution to deliver M/CIO projects on time, on budget and on scope. The individual in this role will enable the ongoing successful implementation of the M/CIO PMO, and will provide support to develop, implement and communicate key PMO processes.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for gaining/maintaining stakeholder buy-in; keeping their interest level and involvement throughout the project via developing and maintaining effective project communications.
Responsible for overall project oversight and working with the Functional Lead and Technical Lead to deliver the required solution on time, on budget and with all agreed scope
Responsible for execution of the M/CIO approved project management methodology; ensuring the development of all project management deliverables and artifacts (project charter, PMP, status reporting) as approved in the project tailoring plan and PMO standards.
Accountable for the execution of effective project change management, risks and issues management, schedule and cost management using M/CIO PMO standards, tools and techniques.
Ensures all project deliverables and artifacts (Project Charter, PMP, Requirements, and Testing etc.) are completed according to the project schedule. Facilitates and ensures the review and approval of project artifacts by designated owners per approved schedule.
Ensures business and functional decisions are made to ensure technical development progress and completion.
Escalates risks and issues to the project's
executive
sponsor when necessary for timely resolution.
Reports on project status to key groups and individuals (e.g. Executive Sponsor, Steering Committee, etc.)
Measures the performance of the project, knowing how the project is performing against milestones, time frames, deliverables, budget and resources at all times. Responds to PMO requests for performance data not captured in project management information system (PMIS).
Ensures that the project management process (e.g. identification, documentation and escalation activities) is effectively performed in a timely manner. To include informing the COR when the change process impacts a project's vendor (changes in scope, schedule, and/or resources.)
Accountable for the establishment and execution of project change control board (PCCB) and ongoing execution of project change management. Prepare project change requests for submission in prescribed tool.
Creates the project team site and documentation structures; manages site access.
Maintains project reporting mechanisms (e.g. schedule, risk repository, action items list); to include capturing and publishing meeting notes. Accountable for project status reporting. Submit weekly and monthly status reporting using the prescribed processes, tools and PMIS. Prepare for project portfolio reviews and support hoc reporting requests.
Leads and maintains lessons learned activities and artifacts.
Coordinates with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to receive financial data from project's vendors.
Ensures that the COR is included in the project's stakeholder communications; specifically to receive vendor financial data from the COR about changes that occur within the project lifecycle to the COR.
Provide specific technical expertise and business acumen as required

Qualifications:
8 - 10
years of Project Management experience.
PMP certification.
Demonstrated ability to manage project risks and risk mitigation.
Previous support of enterprise systems engineering initiatives.
Proven track record of delivering strategic advisory
services
to senior government customers.
Technical background must be strong enough to recommend solutions and lead customer, not solely rely on customer guidance.
Understanding of new technologies and the impacts on business processes.

years of experience in:
Client management and understanding the client/stakeholder needs and requirements.
Drafting project plans; managing tasks, time, resources and cost.
Tracking and managing project financials and reporting to clientstakeholders.
Proven track record of managing a diverse set of stakeholders.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
