Description:
The Technician, under the general direction of the Area Supervisor, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment for pipelines and terminal breakout facilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulations. This position will be based out of the Company's Jefferson City field office.
Responsibilities may include:
Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical/electrical/rotating equipment.
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary.
Maintaining current and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
Assisting supervisors in changing technology/budget requirements.
Responding to emergencies and maintaining emergency response preparedness.
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary.
Performing equipment monitoring and maintenance documentation.
Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration and timely submits appropriate reports.
Minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative maintenance.
Maintaining technical and administrative records, including prints and project reports.
Responding to emergencies and participate in Emergency Response Training.
Driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility.
Supervising and directing contract crews.
Active involvement in Safety Action Plans.
Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training (CBT).
Pursuing cost reduction opportunities.
Assisting in pump tear down/rebuild inspections and new pump installations.
Be on call and respond to emergencies as well as maintain emergency preparedness.
Comply with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations, and safety policies and procedures.

Basic/Required:

Ability and willingness to perform/comply with or without reasonable accommodation for the following:
Willing and able to climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment. are a part of this position. The ladders and stairs range from 5 to 40 feet in height.
Willing and able to raise and transport articles weighing up to 60 pounds.
Willing and able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain.
Willing and able to work outside in harsh weather conditions.
Willing to work alone a high percentage of the time.
Willingness to travel overnight 10% to 15% of the time.

Willing and able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Preferred:
Associates degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial
electronics
3 or more years relevant work experience in I&E; Technician field
3 years experience of technical knowledge and training to maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
3 years experience working with electronics --- both digital and analog circuitry including drawings and schematics.
One year of experience with the following:
Allen-Bradley PLC's.
Rosemount Transmitters.
OMNI flow
computer
.
Other general pipeline equipment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook and SAP
