Safety and Health EngineerDetroit. Salary: $65,000 Must have Bachelors degree, three years experience in Safety and five years experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have ability to recognize industrial hygiene principles of engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment as well as administer emergency medical treatment in the case of accident or illness on company premises and administers ongoing treatments (e.g., dressings, injections) under direction of a physician. Will also assist in physical examinations and health evaluations of applicants and associates and provide case management for occupational injuries and illnesses to ensure associates receive appropriate care to minimize time away from work. Must be proficient at preparing accident/illness reports and maintaining confidential health care records. Leadership skills necessary for heading up the Safety Committee and related activities such that the organizations safety objectives are met or exceeded.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
