Summary of Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include assisting in maintaining and managing financial information by providing
computer
support for departmental staff as follows:
Research and solve issues related to system configuration, validation and reporting
Develop and write queries using PeopleSoft, PowerPlan and nVision systems for all areas of the Company
Ensure all reporting tools are performing correctly and efficiently
Maintain internal controls for Westar Energy and Wolf Creek financial data within the various reporting systems
Analyze, monitor, run and verify the monthly allocations for Westar Energy
Responsible for the administration of the PeopleSoft Financial System and the various PowerPlan system modules, including coordinating and/or conducting testing of new releases of software and overseeing other new developments
Monitor, analyze, and maintain PeopleSoft workflow for Westar Energy systems, including Accounts Payable, Inventory, Expenses, Purchasing and General Ledger
Serve as the primary control point for user profiles in the PeopleSoft Financial system and as liaison between users of systems and Information Technology
services

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, including spreadsheets and word processing, is required. Must be able to apply analytical thinking, creative problem solving, and sound reasoning. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects and complete assigned tasks within required time frame. Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively with others in a team environment. Strong technical skills along with an understanding of fundamental accounting principles and job related experience in PeopleSoft or PowerPlan systems is preferred.
Education and
Experience:
The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing:
Must have a valid driver's license
Working Conditions:
Normal office working environment. Occasionally some additional hours or weekends may be required to meet necessary reporting requirements. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
