, the selectee approved for hire will be required to attend a mandatory five-week Forensic Accountant Core Training Session (FACTS) held at the FBI Academy in Quantico,

. Once training dates are established, employees will be notified in advance.
Relocation expenses will be borne by the selectee, except FBI employees returning from Legat assignment.
All selectees, with the exception of current FBI employees, will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
