will report to the

Vice President, Global Automotive Business
Liaison between Japan-based automotive customers in North America and corporate headquarters personnel to ensure that the customer's requirements are established, understood and satisfied.
Liaison with the customer's senior management (Japanese expatriates) and communicate their long-term needs to corporate in Japan.
Advising the customer on the benefits of the company's new technology will be a key to success.
Support existing customers while actively identify pipeline customers which are managed by Japanese expatriates and will become a member of the business development team in that region of North America.
Ability to communicate company's value proposition to multiple stakeholders is critical as well as being the voice to upper management in Japan.
Keep abreast of trends in the Asian automotive industry in North America and collect market intelligence on which Asian companies are expanding their presence in this region.
Interface closely with the Japanese Automotive OEM Account
manager
and other key personnel based at the company's headquarters in Japan.
Requirements:
10 years experience in the automotive industry
Bachelor's degree required
Fluent in the Japanese (speaking/writing)
Travel within North America and occasional travel to corporate in Japan
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
