Description
The Tax
manager
will lead the Regulatory Reporting team to ensure compliance with tax information reporting and withholding regulations of the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities. This includes, but is not limited to, Form 1099 series, Form 1042-S, as well as state reporting requirements.
The Tax Manager will work with Department colleagues coordinate with individual FATCA project managers to address FATCA impact on client data, the product portfolio, third-party service providers and legal entities and ensure requirements are implemented consistently globally.
The Project Manager will work will each of the project managers to drive and coordinate all business-related activities leading up to the successful implementation of all project releases. In addition, the Project Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with LOB business owners, communicating project status and understanding detailed business requirements across multiple project initiatives. The Project Manager will also work with the Asset Management Program Management Office.
_Key Responsibilities_
Manage team and partner with tax colleagues to ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met including written policies and procedures
Partner with tax colleagues to identify and implement projects/procedures to meet new reporting requirements
Partner with operational and business colleagues to ensure processes and controls are in place to ensure accurate withholding and reporting
Timely and concise communication with key business partners and senior management
Partner with tax and technology colleagues for timely delivery of projects within scope, budget and time
Diagnose, communicate and facilitate resolution of key issues and risks
Ensure operational and business change readiness
## Qualifications
Qualifications
7-10 years of relevant tax experience with 5-7 years of management and leadership responsibility
BA/BS required; advance degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage teams within changing regulatory environment
Advanced knowledge of tax withholding and reporting including cost basis reporting.
Strong knowledge of securities including stocks, corporate and municipal bonds, mutual funds, partnerships and other derivative products
Microsoft SharePoint, Access , Excel and Powerpoint experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player with excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritizing skills
Excessive attention to detail and ability to work independently
