As a Business Analyst you will plan, organize, lead, control, and coordinate projects and provide systems and client support services for the Assurant Property Solutions business. It is a crucial role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between Business needs and Technology delivery in an Agile development environment.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct necessary research and analysis to develop business requirements and related business rules based on Business Group needs.
Work closely with the Business Partner and business Subject Matter Expert(s) in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of functional requirements.
Drive and coordinate projects.
Apply basic testing methodology.
Problem definition and problem solving, by properly analyzing the issue and documenting the problem in order to determine a fix or provide alternative solutions.
React to pressure, problems, or shifts in priorities by increasing personal efforts.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures, On the
job
Training manuals and Client Profiles.
Qualifications
Required skills/
Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or related field and/or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Basic Project Management skills.
Competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work daily.
Good organizational skills.
Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
Strong customer service skills. Proven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
