Work Conditions, Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Depending on assigned area, ability to lift single cartons up to 70
pounds. Could be on a recurring basis throughout work hours.
Lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping are required ongoing throughout
work hours.
Walking on uneven surfaces possible though infrequently.
Fine manipulation of equipment (e.g. scanners, PC, hand truck, etc)
using hands is ongoing throughout work hours.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment where noise levels are
elevated.

Summary:
The Associate, Distribution, Senior - PMX is responsible for the daily
distribution activities, productivity, and quality within the assigned
area(s) of a distribution facility. This position is responsible for
demonstrating safety, quality and productivity performance and
operational expertise. This position will be required to proficiently
perform at least two distribution-related activities (e.g. order
filling, shipping, receiving, LEAN captain, Safety committee, etc.) on a
regular basis.
Position Responsibilities /
Essential Functions:
1. Perform multiple distribution-related functions that allow, as the
business requires, assignment across various functions such as checking,
packing, replenishment, bulk order fill, bin order fill, bin/bulk
stocking, shipping, receiving/returns, routing, furniture setup,
sorting, loading, variable labor budget/manifests/bills of lading, and
truck driving (as applicable to operation). Assignment to other
functional tasks may be done on a daily or less than daily basis.
2. Continually responsible for housekeeping and safety.
3. May be assigned as active participating member of the Safety or LEAN
teams.
4. Actively seek to support implementation of and contribute ideas and
suggestions for continuous improvement to the distribution processes.
5. Interact with supervisors, leads, and work group with information
exchanges related to immediate tasks.
6. Work in a fast-paced metric driven environment with minimal
supervision.
7. Actively contribute to and influence other associates in maintaining
a safe work environment.
8. May be utilized to train other team associates.
9. May utilize a personal computer (PC) to conduct wave planning, cycle
counting, research inventory discrepancies, or other computer related
tasks as part of daily activities.
10. Proactively monitor production and identify problems in immediate
work area. Resolve basic issues by utilizing past experience and
escalate difficult problems to the appropriate higher level personnel.
11. Communicate any potential associate relations and performance
management issues to a member of the leadership team in the facility.
12. Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values.
