My client, a large Tier 1 automotive supplier located in beautiful eastern
north carolina
just a short drive to the Atlantic coast, is currently searching for a dedicated professional 1st Shift Production Manager to join their team. This is an exempt salaried
position
reporting to the Senior Production Manager. This individual will be responsible for the leadership of a diverse production team of direct reports and will maximize profitability through strategic management of time, materials, and machinery while ensuring customer objectives of quality, service and delivery are met.
Responsibilities
Lead,
coach
and mentor production team members, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, etc.
Ensure all team members properly follow 5S, safety, and quality initiatives
Utilize QCDMS concepts to lead and organize activities in an efficient and effective manner
Production scheduling
Maintain or exceed rate of operation goals
Meet production targets to ensure 100% on time delivery
Reporting as needed
Complete understanding of company policies and procedures and their effective application
Internal auditing of Safety, Quality, or Environmental compliance
Coordinate establishment of production goals
Some travel may be required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred but Associate's or other Technical degree with experience will be considered
High School diploma or GED required
5-7 years of experience in a high speed manufacturing environment required
Previous supervisory experience required
Proven ability to communicate effectively both written and orally with all levels
Proficiency in mathematics and analytical skills
Proficiency with industrial mechanical, industrial electrical, and other technical skills
Previous internal auditing experience (Quality, Environmental, and Safety)
Experience with manufacturing AC/DC motors highly preferred
