Network Engineer/Strong Cisco

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer with a strong Cisco background to help with their growing demand. This is a long term contract, at least 6 months, and has the opportunity to go permanent.

Description
The Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for providing IT network
services
for the corporate and remote offices.
Configure and support network systems, security systems and related software. (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi, RADIUS/TACACS+, Microsoft and RSA authentication systems)
Maintain and configure network routing protocols for LAN and WAN systems. (RIPv2, EIGRP, and BGP)
Support MPLS, private line, and VPN WAN systems. (T1, DS3, Ethernet, GRE, IPSec, L2L VPN)
Manage and maintain underlying core infrastructure systems (802.1Q, HSRP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP)
Manage and support digital certificates, public domain names, and public DNS
Identify opportunities and recommend solutions to improve overall network performance and availability
Administrative support for Active Directory and Windows client/server operating systems
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in
computer
Science or relevant work experience
Strong knowledge of the OSI network model
Experience with industrial controls systems a plus
CCNA/CCNP with 3 or more years of real-world LAN/WAN network and security experience
Extensive experience with Cisco IOS. Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching
Experience with developing and maintaining access controls and firewall rules to maximize security
Strong written, verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills
Must be able to take initiative and ownership responsibility for projects
Must display teamwork and collaboration between all departments and locations
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
