SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Primary Function and Scope:
Provide controls software
engineering
and leadership to the project team that is delivering turn-key custom automation equipment.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Work with the project team to define the system architecture, design and write the controls system software, debug and commission the equipment. Responsible for software design for custom automation equipment by performing, but not limited to, the following duties:
Essential Functions
Meet with customer and project manager to understand requirements of customer needs
Provide input to the controls hardware designer as required to ensure an appropriate hardware design.
Develop the system software architecture.
Write the control system software -- this can be based on either PLC or PC hardware.
Develop Human to Machine Interface (HMI) programs and integrate with the control system.
Responsible for integrating peripheral hardware and software, such as but not limited to, servo motors, Vision, Robots, leak test systems, LVDT's, data collection systems. These peripheral systems may require knowledge and experience in network communications and protocols.
Debug the system hardware and software.
Run off the system with the customer.
Support the installation of the equipment.
Debug at customer's site if necessary.
Adhere to established controls standards and procedures.
Observe safety procedures.
Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.(1)
EDUCATION and/or
Experience: BS Degree with 5
years work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to write control programs (PLC or PC), develop HMI programs, and have custom system engineering/troubleshooting experience. Prefer knowledge of Rslogix5000, PL7Pro, Siemens Step 7, Microsoft Office, networks, vision, servos and robots.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good communication skills required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures. Ability to write reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work in decimal, octal hexadecimal and binary numbering systems. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to calculate scaling factors, proportions, percentages, rates and ratios.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Wide variety of duties requiring considerable judgment to work independently such as devising new methods, adapting or changing standard procedures to meet new conditions, and making decisions guided by precedent and within established policies.
OTHER: Knowledge of Excel and Access programs. Experience or knowledge of researching on the Internet. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload. Organizational skills, flexible, integrity and ability to work independently. Willing to travel and work as required to keep the project on schedule.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
