PURPOSE OF ANNOUNCEMENT

We are pleased to announce the opening for a highly competent Senior Programmer Analyst for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for the State of
maine
. This is an advanced technical services role that will develop and maintain highly complex
computer
programs in support of the ACES (Automated Client Eligibility System).

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

You will have the opportunity to perform the highest technical levels in all phases of programming activities for large-scale, complex application systems, and serve as technical advisors to other data processing staff, as well as providing technical support to end users. This exciting
position
offers the opportunity to create and develop extensive programming assignments using Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, Oracle OBIEE and JAVA. In this role, you will supervise and provide guidance to Information Technology staff under limited supervision. This position is located in Augusta, Maine.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be a productive member of a highly talented Applications Team, providing Information Technology support to the DHHS Office of Family Independence. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining complex application programs, conducting advanced analysis of and supporting client requests, and ensuring the technology solution supports the Enterprise Application Architecture. The Office of Family Independence provides support to citizens seeking assistance with MaineCare and other benefits.

DETAILS

The assigned area of work is the Office of Information Technology, Department of Health and Human Services (OIT-DHHS) team, which provides Information Technology support to over 4,000 employees in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and enables DHHS to provide efficient services to approximately 250,000 Maine residents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICIATIONS

In order to qualify, you must have five (5) years of computer programming experience utilizing higher level languages including two (2) years at the Programmer Analyst level or equivalent. A Masters' Degree in Computer Science may be substituted for one (1) year of programming experience.

In addition to the above qualifications, the attached Skills Matrix must be completed and submitted with the application.

's Retirement: 17.07% of salary for BU positions and 22.07% for Confidential Positions.

The value of State-paid Dental Insurance: $13.13 biweekly. The value of State-paid Health Insurance:

Level 1: 100% State Contribution (employee pays nothing): $363.77 biweekly
Level 2: 95% State Contribution (employee pays 5%): $345.58 biweekly
Level 3: 90% State Contribution (employee pays 10%): $327.39 biweekly
Level 4: 85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%): $309.20 biweekly

The level of the actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on the employee's wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program as of July 1, 2011.
