Summary:
Event Specialist- Product Demonstrator
An Event Specialist generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotions.
Schedule: Sunday- Saturday: 10am-7:00pm (days/hours vary). Each shift is 6.5 hours in duration of standing (mandatory unpaid 30 minute lunch break)
Please note that shifts are not guaranteed; therefore you may work all days some weeks and others not.
Pay: $10-11 per hour in-store
events
Training: Online training and food certification (paid)
Responsibilities:
Conduct Demo Event
Engage the consumer by creating brand awareness and enthusiasm
Purchase product and supplies with company given Demo Expense card (requires lifting up to 40 lbs and reaching up to 10 feet; carrying up to 40 lbs for a distance of 5 feet)
Dynamically sell product to consumers
Sample product to consumers (may include cooking)
Stand for up to 6 hours and actively move around cart area to approach customers within 10 feet of cart and engage them in a professional manner which generates enthusiasm for the product and the event
Set up/display product/materials on cart- push cart weighing 52-74 lbs a distance of 150-300 feet
Carry appliances/equipment weighing up to 20 lbs a distance of 5-10 feet and up to 10 feet overhead
Break down/clean up event within approximately 15 minute period
Compliance with all food safety requirements and regulations
Clean up/sanitize cart
Disassemble cart and push back to storage area
Administrative work
Complete call reports and timesheets online (call report required after each store visit)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Friendly, outgoing personality; confidence and enthusiasm to engage retail shoppers
Ability to work independently
Great communication skills e.g. ability to connect with customers and sell products
Basic knowledge of how to use a
computer
; access the internet; send, receive, and review email; download documents from website or email; submit event reports.
Successful passing of drug screen and background check.
Dress Code:
Black pants or long Black skirt
Long-sleeve, white shirt with collar
Comfortable, close toed Black shoes
We provide you with an apron and baseball style cap
Professional, neat appearance is required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
