The Production Lead oversees the shift formulation, filling, and packaging. Assists in performance management, training, and development of associates. May be required to fill in as temporary Production Supervisor as needed.
Oversees the Formulation, Filling, and Packaging Operations during assigned shift including monitoring layouts, staffing, and operations to ensure maximum productivity.
Assists shift supervisor with ensuring the provision of a safe work environment for associates by monitoring safety practices and assessing and eliminating hazards.
Coordinates training in the following areas: providing assistance and instruction in proper operation of equipment; ensures all SOP's are updated and followed; assists with production lead develpment and the orientation of new associates, assists supervisor in maintaing effective communication with department associates to include performance metrics and associate recognition, recommends/participates in disciplinary reviews of associates with supervisor.
Completion of required administrative paperwork
Most difficult or most complex task or project performed by the jobholder:
Oversee formlations, filling, and packaging operations. Assist shift supervisor with ensuring a safe work environment. coordination of training efforts.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivelant, Associates or BA preferred.
Experience: 3 years experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of manufacturing and management techniques including: Continuous Improvement, Preventive Maintenance and Team Building.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to direct and motivate associates. Intermediate
computer
skills are required. Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment. Prefer knowledge in 5S and Team Building. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of associates and management. Good knowledge and practice of interpersonal and leadership skills. Good organizational abilities.
