Weyerhaeuser Company has a Process Owner opening in the Liquid Packaging operations.

Key Functions:
Analysis, planning and control of the energy process for the production, reliability, optimization and continued improvement of pulp and paper products
Develop plans and lead efforts to achieve safe, reliable and cost effective operations
Build capability of operating team to monitor, track and achieve unit and mill performance metrics
Function as area technical lead for product development, trials and chemical hazard management
Support area operators through technical training and development including certification of operational competencies
Support area process planning and execution for planned maintenance outages and the annual plant shutdowns
Participate in unit leadership team providing input to unit goals, focus areas and initiatives
Monitor and maintain test equipment
Customer interface and issue resolution
Evaluation of chemicals and processes for continuous improvement and cost reduction
Development of software programs to streamline mill monitoring and reporting
Assist the mill in various technical
services
; functions as the go to technical resource
The position is a mix of office work,
computer
work and field work

Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Technology preferred
Minimum of 2 years working as a Process Engineer; work experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry desirable
Practical understanding of statistical process control and application
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work with operators, management, suppliers and customers
Strong oral and written communication, team building and technical skills
Ability to work extended hours and off shifts to meet operational needs
Must be self-motivate and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Must be able to work independently and handle multiple projects
Must have strong problem solving skills
