1. Perform ongoing monitoring of major IT
services
(e.g. network, email, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and telephone); administer operating systems, and plan and execute application upgrades and patches.
2. Serve as point of escalation for moderate to complex
computer
hardware, software, and systems issues across supported technologies; assists with more complex or specialized issues as needed.
3. Perform computer builds including installation, setup, and configuration for specialized or complex business needs; deliver software and systems training for employees and new hires.
4. Act as liaison between Marketing and external service provider to maintain company website; perform ongoing website troubleshooting and security monitoring.
5. Serve on departmental and cross-functional teams to understand and frame business requirements to support software & hardware implementations; serve as project lead on implementations as needed.
6. Assist with planning and executing testing for new software and systems; provide insights and recommendations on ongoing technology improvements.
7. Develop and maintain departmental and enterprise-wide procedures related to desktop support (e.g. configurations and setups), wiki content and other user-end resources.
8. Serve as department lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for several specified technologies. Current focus on Task Centre, SalesLogix and Exchange.
9. Perform complex and/or specialized desktop repairs for hardware and peripherals not
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area; or equivalent experience.

Minimum four years of experience in IT role; project management experience a plus.
Knowledge & Experience
?
Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, major software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and basic PC hardware.
?
Extensive understanding and experience with Microsoft Enterprise products (e.g. Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, Lync, Systems Center, and SQL Server).
?
Solid knowledge of: Oracle, Database, VMWare, Networking (TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6).
?
Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint administration duties.
?
Experience managing servers (Windows preferred), proficient in networking and firewalls.
?
Solid understanding of VOIP telephone systems.
?
Solid understanding and experience with of backup procedures and technology.
?
Experience consulting with internal and external partners on IT business requirements and translating them for business use.
?
Experience in developing operating procedures and user resources.
Skills & Abilities
?
Oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
?
Ability to deliver technical support within office environment and communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly manner.
?
Strong organizational and time management; strong project management skills preferred.
