The Sr. System Engineer
position
provides technology resources is support of USPACOM J8 Joint Innovation & Experimentation for the following particular areas of focus: security testing, design of experiments, network engineering
services
, subject matter expertise (SME) for C4ISR, cyber security, and defense-in-depth Implementation, data mining, archiving & analysis, military utility assessments, tactics, techniques & procedures, electronic combat research, comparative analysis, roadmapping, assessment of candidate material & non-material solutions, advanced electronic warfare analyses, ISR, domain awareness, cyber, target acquisition & tracking, weapon guidance & control, counter mine/IED, CBRN, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, undersea warfare sensor research, experimentation & assessment, energy security, cyber sensing, high performance computing expertise, cyber sensing systems engineering, cyber moving target defense, open architecture platforms, distributed & modular manufacturing, rapid capability cell, cyber mission mapping & situational awareness, product translation, waste elimination, wargaming, simulation, emulation, cyber electronic warfare integration, non-traditional fires & information operations, strategic capabilities office and studies analyses.
Qualifications
Experience and Education Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelors (B.S or B.A) Degree in Computer Science and shall demonstrate at least five (5) years advanced experience in software engineering and programming for military applications including experience directly in support of
requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; data base design approaches; documentation standards; configuration management; DOD software policy; and DOD test and evaluation requirements as well as experience related to cyber security as outlined in the above duties & responsibilities.
Must have advanced experience in software engineering and programming for large computers, minicomputer and microprocessor based applications. Must have expertise in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; data base design approaches; documentation standards; configuration management; DOD software policy; and DOD test and evaluation requirements. Performs analyses of system requirements and develops operational software subsystems. Experience in real-time operating systems, distributed systems, timing and sizing analysis, performance analysis, data base design and management, and resource utilization assessment is essential. Background in machine and assembly languages is essential.
Secret clearance required.
