POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Senior Formulation Chemist
US Citizen or Permanent Residency Required
Targeting: Formulation Chemists with Advance Degree in Chemistry pertaining to Agrochemicals, Crop Science or related
Location: South East Region
Compensation: Handsome salary package, commensurate with skills, will be provided for the selected candidate.
Position Overview:
Develop & test formulations & new product development including:
Develop, test, & compare formulations for new additives
Improve current formulations
Find innovative ways to add value
Evaluate raw materials in existing formulations
Leader in lab studies testing
Manufacture samples for product chemistry
Understand & implement federal & state mandated formulation changes
Will work closely with multiple teams to provide formulation manufacturing support for new & existing product needs
Responsibilities:
New formulation development
Formulation improvement & evaluation
Reverse engineer competitor products
Leadership on testing & trails related to formulations
Manufacture sample formulations
Accurate record keeping
Provide proper support
Ability to keep formula cards for the formulation processes on new formulations
Must Haves:
Advanced Degree in Chemistry related to Agrochemicals or Crop Science
5-10 years formulation lab experience
Experience with formulation equipment & general analytical equipment
3-5 experience with Agrochemicals & Pesticides
Knowledge of industry manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of EPA/PMRA strongly desired
Ability to optimize formulation & process to transfer to manufacturing
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
