Southern IL electrical manufacturer is looking for an experienced cost account to join their team.

Essential duties: o Monitor all invoicing and costing transactions to ensure compliance with established Company procedures.
o Review material and labor additions to and deletions from inventory.
o Analyze inventory variances relating to raw material inventories, completed stock
jobs
and differences book to detail.
o Compare cost of goods sold with sales revenue at period-end to determine consistency with prior period results; investigates differences.
o Review periodic system journal entries involving material, labor and overhead cost for accuracy and prepare corrections when required.
o Maintain accountability for all costing reserves at period-end.
o Prepare all customer cancellation charges and cancellation estimates.
o Monitor all external inventories and cost of goods sold transactions and prepare financial statements in an accurate and timely manner.
o Responsible for the preparation of periodic sales, inventory and labor reports.
o Calculate inventory turnover rate for all inventory locations.
o Participate in the performance of the annual physical inventory and subsequent reconciliation of same.
o Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules as required, working in cooperation with the outside auditors.
o Prepare special reports/analysis at the direction of the Corporate Controller.

Job Requirements
o B.S. or B.A. in accounting
o Three to five years cost accounting experience
o Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
