Description:
The position of the Technical Pipeliner will be based out of Casper,
wyoming
and is primarily responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of company pipeline assets located in and around the geographic area from Kaycee, Wyoming to Sinclair, Wyoming. . These duties include monitoring pipeline receipts and deliveries of finished petroleum products, including ticketing, and gain loss reporting for audits and agency inspections in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulations. This position will also include one call response for the area of responsibility. The position will conduct routine pipeline maintenance, eliminate and report product leaks, seeps, and spills, as well as assist with construction and maintenance projects on the pipeline. The position also includes troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating activities as needed to assist in the receipt, storage and delivery of petroleum products via pipeline.
Performing operational duties in accordance with Phillips 66 operating and procedures guides and local operating procedures guides
Identifying and promptly communicating operational and equipment problems and completing trouble reports
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary
Performing equipment monitoring and maintenance documentation
Monitoring and enforcing safety rules
Performing planned maintenance checks and calibrations and submitting appropriate reports in a timely manner
Assisting with construction and maintenance projects
Writing and reviewing work permits associated with construction or maintenance in operating areas
Supervising and directing contract crews
Completing and maintaining required safety and regulatory training
Acquiring operator qualifications, as required
Performing environmental and regulatory checks (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills)
Comply with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations, and safety policies and procedures
Wearing personal protective equipment, such as flame retardant
clothing
, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc
Maintaining emergency equipment
Identifying and pursuing improvement opportunities
Pursuing cost reduction opportunities
Basic/Preferred:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma
Must maintain a valid driver's license
Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
Climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position. The ladders and stairs range from 5 to 50 feet in height
Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
Work outside in harsh weather conditions
Work alone a high percentage of the time
To be on rotating call for pipeline movements and equipment problems
Travel up to 15% of the time
Respond to emergency calls as needed
To work overtime on an as-needed basis
To do light lab work
To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
To perform firefighting duties
To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
Preferred:
Associates Degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial
electronics
Experience with the following:
Allen-Bradley PLC's
Rosemount Transmitters
OMNI flow
computer
Other general pipeline knowledge
Mechanical and rotating equipment experience
Experienced (perform the skill with limited assistance) on MS Office and SAP
3 years or more of direct operational experience in the oil and gas industry
