Their platform includes Web site design and development, e-commerce technology, customer service, fulfillment, buying and merchandising, content development and management, online and database marketing, and product development.

Our client is the leading outsource solution for e-commerce. The Webstore and Mobile department develops their web-based e-commerce products and applications, including the core Web Store, the supporting Management Tools, and Development Tools.

They are seeking innovative, motivated Software Engineer to develop and componentize the frontend and UI infrastructure and framework for their next generation e-commerce platform. This is a challenging opportunity to develop technology solutions to meet the demands of diversified environments and clients.

As a member of a cross-functional development team, Software Engineer works closely with Product, Operations, Database, Architecture, QA, Project Management, and Product Management teams to promote the best practices of building e-commerce frontend solutions on top of their next generation e-commerce platform, componentize the feature sets, and/or extend the functionalities. Software Engineer participates in all phases of product development including: planning, analysis, design, development, QA and ongoing support.

Promote the best use of core UI componentization framework to design and implement the features requested by internal and external product and software teams.
Participate and contribute the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and implementation of infrastructure/framework/component of various projects that result from internal demands and/or external client requests.
Develop technology solutions with a thorough understanding how technology decisions impact GSI e-commerce product platform, services, and business.
Interactively design and implement bridged frontend UI solutions for missing integration and/or extension of the core features based on existing and/or extension of the core UI componentization framework and target for potential productization in new releases.
Identify, evaluate, and formally recommend third party solutions and services as needed.
Produce detailed and accurate documentation related to existing and extended frontend UI components and assigned tasks.
Promote highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with all levels of product, services, and third-party development teams.
Mentor and/or share experience with team members.
BS, MS, or PhD in
computer
Science,
information technology
, or a related technical or art field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in UI development and creative/artistic design.

years hands-on experience with web frontend UI development and creative design within J2EE environments.
Expert knowledge of common web frontend technologies and/or packages such as HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax, Flash/Flex, and/or jQuery/Dojo/YUI.
Hands-on experience with web template languages (e.g. JSP, Velocity, and/or FreeMarker).
Good knowledge of common web frontend UI and creative design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.
Good understanding and working experience of XML and related technologies (e.g. XSD, XSL, and XQuery).
Good knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and componentization approaches.
Experience in cross-platform development such as UNIX/Windows and Oracle/MySQL and skillful in UNIX shell scripts and command line tools such as sed, awk, etc.
Working knowledge of J2EE application server configuration, setup, and management.
Working knowledge of automated build utilities and Continuous Integration solutions.
Well-presentable portfolios in the design and development of frontend UI components, applications, and solutions.
Solid grasp of software development lifecycle best-practices, methods, and conventions, including but not limited to Agile methodology, Test Driven Development, Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, Domain Driven Design, and Dependency Management.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred
Experience in e-commerce application development.
Experience with commercial supply chain, trading partner, warehouse, logistics management, marketing, and/or customer relationship management software.
Experience in working with or developing Open Source projects.
Experience with Intershop Enfinity client-side development.
Basic working knowledge of J2SE and J2EE developmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
