Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and coordinate daily laboratory tests and analyses.
Analyze data and prepare technical reports.
Maintain rigorous record keeping practices, use various on-line databases, and operate independently in a research laboratory.
Assist with the development of product formulations and implementation processes.
Assist with formulation optimizations for technical, efficiency, and performance improvements.
Assist customer service resolving customer issues, through the development and management of a quality control system for raw materials and products, and ongoing research and development in the area of chemicals and resin coated proppant sand.
Assist with organizational understanding of the chemistry behind company's product line
Be able to assist in projects or assignments that may include both internal and external resources.
Evaluate chemical equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance or to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Demonstrates good laboratory skills (cleanliness, attention to detail, organization, and thoroughness) and possess an aptitude for understanding practical (customer) application of the products being tested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BS degree in related science/engineering and 1-3 years of experience.
Experience in the oil industry is a plus.
Ability to build strong working relationships with management, cross functional teams and customers.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to work independently.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
