Application Developer
The Application Developer works under the direction of more experienced programmers in developing components for complex web applications and independently develops smaller web applications for internal company use. The Application Developer works with end users to understand the tasks they are responsible for and proposes application solutions to simplify those tasks through automation.
Duties and Responsibilities
Works with team members to understand business processes and identify where web applications would benefit team members by reducing work load and improving efficiency.
Develops application specifications and reviews those with management and team members to ensure the proposed solution meets requirements.
Writes, modifies and tests web applications.
Understands relational databases and how they interact with web applications
Performs other duties as assigned by
manager
.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft .Net development using relational databases
Associates Degree in a technical discipline
Excellent customer service and communication skills (especially listening), likes to work with others
Effectively and consistently communicates (Phone, email, face-to-face, meetings, etc.)
Enjoys learning, strives to meet goals and objectives, always looking how something might be improved
Detail oriented, organized, and reliable, willing to do what it takes
Persistent, never gives up, seeks help if needed
Accepts tasks and takes ownership of the result
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and produce work accurately and on-time
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Experience with
computer
and web applications
Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Bonus Qualifications
Has experience and success in providing end user support or assistance
Has an understanding of the Telco and Service industry
Has an understanding of back office and field operations
Has a working knowledge of, or experience with, Microsoft Office Automation (VBA)
This
position
is best suited for someone with some programming experience using .Net and relational databases, who is looking to increase this experience and advance into database design, web application development and operational processes.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
