Description
Goodyear's Akron Innovation Center is responsible for identifying, developing, and industrializing new material technologies for all of Goodyear's product lines including consumer, truck, aircraft, off-road, and racing. Teams within the department are responsible for providing Goodyear a sustainable competitive advantage in tire performance and manufacturing resulting from best-in-class material technology.

Associates work with cross functional product design teams and production to establish performance and manufacturability targets for tires and tire components.
Requirements
Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials
Familiarity with polymers, fillers, and/or reinforced composites is required
Proficiency in the statistical design and analysis of experimental data is required
Exceptional communication and technical documentation skills will be required
Domestic and international travel may be required occasionally
Experience in elastomeric formulation for dynamic applications is preferred
Experience in understanding structure/property relationships in materials is preferred
Tire plant experience in mixing/component preparation and with tire production processes are an asset
Tasks
Developing and maintaining tire compounds for optimal performance while considering cost and environment
Designing laboratory studies to evaluate material technologies, and interpreting the results based on the underlying chemistry and physics of the materials being studied
Provide on site assistance during plant trials as required
Effective communication and collaboration with design teams, customers, and manufacturing to ensure successful development and technology transferEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
