title: Senior Systems Engineer
Client locations you'll manage: Southern San Fernando Valley / West Los Angeles
Our Senior Systems Engineer architects technology solutions with your Cal Net team for customers. You build test systems to prove design functionality. You'll create training, support and customer interfacing documentation. Periodically, you'll provide technical training to other Cal Net engineers on technical subjects and Cal Net standards, while also developing best practices documentation for the deployment of new technology.
This role involves developing technology standards for products to be sold, installed and maintained. It also requires you to take ownership of your clients' technical environment and make recommendations for improvements. You will perform onsite and remote monitoring, maintenance and problem identification and resolution activities for our clients. And finally, you will further develop our Company's positive reputation with existing Clients through exceptional service.
DO YOU HAVE COMPREHENSIVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES?
All currently supported Microsoft Windows desktop and server platforms.
Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange Server
Network design, complex L3 routing, VLAN and QoS configurations using (Cisco/HP) switches
VMWare/Hyper-V Virtualization Technologies
Storage networks(iSCSI/fiber) and SAN hardware (Equalogic/3Par/EMC)
Domain and Exchange Server Migrations
Office 365 implementations
Backup and Disaster Recovery Technologies (Symantec/VEEAM)
All Anti-X Technologies (ESET/Symantec/Trend Micro)
Firewalls/Routers/Switches (PaloAlto/Cisco/Sonicwall)
UTM appliances performing anti-spam, anti-virus, anti-malware and content filtering from vendors such as Barracuda, Sonicwall or Websense
Citrix and Terminal Server farm implementations
Clustering Solutions w/SAN implementations both fiber-channel and iSCSI
Web server technology including IIS and load balancing
Spec-ing desktop and server hardware from major manufacturers
Microsoft Office, Entourage integration with Exchange
iOS/Windows/Mobile/Blackberry/Blackberry Enterprise integration with Exchange
Mac, iPhone, iPad and integration with Exchange
Systems Management Software

Previous experience working as a technical project team lead or at a Consulting Firm environment
