Job Description
Client Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Application Engineer for a permanent
position
located in Atlanta, GA (Midtown). The successful candidate must have extensive technical and application design experience and must demonstrate an affinity for seeking, evaluating and coming up to speed on new technologies. He/She must be able to effectively communicate with other team members, managers and customers both verbally and in writing. This position provides the opportunity to be involved in new web and mobile application development as well as small to medium enhancements to existing systems to support corporate operations. The candidate will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle and will independently and collaboratively write and review software requirements, design specifications and code. Other responsibilities include 24x7 on-call rotational support (one week on-call about every 9th week) for mission-critical applications and problem trouble-shooting and resolution.
Required Skills
Minimum 3
years of most recent experience in a professional environment designing and developing Java web and/or mobile applications
Minimum 4
years of total experience in a professional environment developing Java web applications
Proficiency in:
o Java and J2EE (WebLogic 10.x, JBoss)
Servlets and POJO's
o JavaScript
o HTML5/CSS3
o ExtJS or jQuery
o Unix
o SQL
o XML
o Creating web
services
(SOAP/RESTful)
o Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and message based processing systems
Preferred Skills
Mobile application development
.NET (C#, asp, VB) web development
UI/graphic design experience
LDAP

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Preferably in Information Systems,
